Sandra Gern
Sandra is a songwriter, producer, and performer. With her solo project “Polar Noir,” she has already toured alongside bands such as M83 and Cari Cari and performed concerts in Germany, Poland, Austria, and Denmark. In 2025, she released her debut album “Coming Up For Breath,” on which she blends dreamy, shoegaze-inspired synth-pop with environmental themes. The album brought her international attention and was featured on the playlists of over 100 radio stations. At the same time, she works as a freelance music journalist, radio host, and event emcee. For over ten years, she hosted and curated the music show “Chelsea Hotel” on the Munich radio station egoFM, and for more than half of that time, she also headed the station’s editorial department. For her show, she conducted hundreds of interviews—including with New Order, St. Vincent, Girl in Red, and Peter Doherty. In 2020, she was honored with the German Radio Award in the “Best Program” category for her work. She currently interviews various artists—from Lykke Li to Tove Lo—at live events and is a regular guest on the show “Soundcheck” on radioeins. As a result, she knows the music industry from a wide variety of perspectives—and knows how to seamlessly apply her diverse experiences and skills across different fields.
