Born on the day the wall fell in East Berlin and inspired by her Palestinian family history, she has long connected artistic practice with power-critical educational, advisory, and curatorial work at the intersection of art, politics, and social transformation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As an internationally touring musician with her band <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jamila &amp; The Other Heroes<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and as a process facilitator, she works at the intersection of art, activism, and institutional change. Since 2019, she has advised cultural institutions, clubs, and festivals across Germany on power-sharing, anti-racism, empowerment, and awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A particular focus of her work lies in empowerment programmes for cultural practitioners affected by discrimination, as well as in addressing anti-Muslim racism and antisemitism in the context of Palestine\u2013Israel.
