Through her M series, she has been promoting concerts and putting artists on stages across Berlin since 2004.<\/p>\n<h3>About the Session<\/h3>\n<p>The group session \u201cLet\u2019s talk about\u2026\u201d expands Music Pool Berlin\u2019s consulting work into a small-group format focused on exchange, reflection and shared learning.<\/p>\n<p>Who could you team up with to organise a show, reach listeners in another city or develop a project together? What could you offer another artist\u2014and what support would help you move forward?<\/p>\n<p>Following our session on booking your own shows, this conversation takes the next step: <strong>exploring how artists can create opportunities together.<\/strong> From sharing stages and contacts to pooling equipment, exchanging skills and developing joint funding ideas, we\u2019ll look at what cooperation can mean in practice.<\/p>\n<p>Participants are invited to bring a real idea, need or resource to the table. Together, we\u2019ll explore where interests connect, identify potential collaborators and discuss realistic first steps.<\/p>\n<p>Melissa will share perspectives from her work as a consultant, promoter and curator, including how to approach potential collaborators, establish clear expectations and develop projects that benefit everyone involved.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You do not need to have attended the previous session to take part.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>What We&#8217;ll Explore<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sharing stages and opportunities:<\/strong> Joint bills, co-organised concerts and reciprocal shows across cities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Exchanging contacts and knowledge:<\/strong> Connecting with venues, promoters and networks through thoughtful introductions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pooling resources:<\/strong> Sharing equipment, transport, production skills and promotional work.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Developing projects together:<\/strong> Collaborating with other artists, caf\u00e9s, studios, community spaces and exploring joint funding opportunities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Making cooperation work:<\/strong> Agreeing on responsibilities, fees, costs and realistic commitments to turn ideas into action.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>How the Session Works<\/h3>\n<p>The session combines practical input from Melissa with moderated peer-to-peer exchange and time to explore possible collaborations.<\/p>\n<p>Each participant is invited to share:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Something they want to make happen.<\/li>\n<li>Something they can offer.<\/li>\n<li>Something they need support with.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Together, we&#8217;ll identify connections within the group and potential partners beyond it.<\/p>\n<h3>Session Structure<\/h3>\n<p><strong>1. Check-in &amp; Introductions \u2014 20 min<\/strong><br \/>\nSharing goals, resources and needs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. What Makes Cooperation Work? \u2014 20 min<\/strong><br \/>\nPractical examples, shared interests, realistic commitments and clear agreements.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Finding Connections \u2014 30 min<\/strong><br \/>\nMapping ideas and resources to identify possible collaborations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Developing a First Step \u2014 35 min<\/strong><br \/>\nWorking in pairs or small groups to explore concrete ideas, responsibilities and next actions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Closing &amp; Follow-through \u2014 15 min<\/strong><br \/>\nDefining one concrete next step and opportunities to stay connected.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is for everyone to leave with a clearer next step, whether that means exploring a shared project, making an introduction or arranging a follow-up conversation.<\/p>\n<p>All experience levels are welcome.
